I wanted to sleep in a bit this morning, since I feel that I have so much sleep to catch up on. So there was no shake for me this morning, plus Cory got up earlier as he had a leave early to p/u a friend. I also wanted to dry my hair, so that meant no bowl of cereal.
So instead, I am enjoying some mozzarella slices (less the crackers since I stupidly packed the together and they got soggy) and a banana. I know, I know.... not very healthy... but keep in mind that for someone who doesn't care to eat in the morning, this is a step in the right direction for me to be eating anything at all. I am accompanying this lunch with my usual Strawbery, Orange and Banana Crystal Lite. I satarted drinking a ton of it here, since I found I was not drinking enough water. I just don't care for a flavorless drink, but this is great cause it is sugar free!! it's looking pretty crummy today, and I am praying very hard for rain, so that I can get some H2O to my plants!! So I hope to do a little indoor workout tonight if it rains.
It would make the most sense to leave this space blank...as I technically didn't have anything. I had a couple noodles, as I checked them to see how they were cooking while I made pasta salad last night.... but nope. Nothing else. Bad Cindy!! I just wasn't hungry. I had munched on that whole wheat bagel with Peanut butter for most of the afternoon, and there was just no desire to have anything else.
We did however, get out for some exercise last night. Cory had promised a bike ride, but then he went and moderately injured himself when he and a buddy took out a demo quad last night, and he ended up rolling the thing!! Could have been a lot worse, but thankfully all he has so far is soreness, and lots of scrapes. Coupled that, with my stomach ache.... we decided a walk would be better.
I had to make it over to the bank, so we ended up making quite the walk, and on one side, we walked where there was no sidewalks yet, and the sand and uphill added to the workout. WE ended up getting back in the house just before 11. So it was like a good hour plus walk!!!
So since last night was a bit of a gong show, we had no lunches this morning, but Cory was the better man, and let me take the leftover stuffed Chicken and brown rice. So I was thankful not to have to scramble for lunch or go out and buy some. However, I must say that after heating it, that I did not care for it. I needed something (like soya sauce for the rice, and a sauce for my chicken and mustard didn't cut it. So I heat up a microwave thing of Stagg Chilli and it was awful, didn't finish it, so I am still working on a whole wheat bagel with Jif peanut butter. I also had an iced tea which lasted me the entire afternoon. It's my one guilty sugar drink per day! :)
This morning's breakfast is something a little new for me. Cory has decided to start making his shakes again, and so I decided to give it a shot. I am not entirely sure on what he puts in there....but I will ask him and log it the next time he makes me one!! But from what I am aware, he puts in juice.. 2 different kinds, oatmeal, a banana, and peanut butter. It takes some getting used to, but I am liking it, and it fills me up a bit, although not for too long, so I may have to start eating something small with it.
Hello! I guess I will start this off by telling you a little about me and why I started this blog. At 25 (and a half ;) ) I recently made some big changes in my life. Back in September, I became re-acquainted with Cory, who I had initially met about 2 years ago. Cory was a friend of a friend who I met, was kinda interested in, and then found out he was getting married in a couple weeks. After a brief meeting with his soon-to-be wife I instantly disliked her and said to friends " i give them 2 years, tops!!" Well, low and behold, two years later, he found me on Facebook, and his status profile listed him as "single". Whoops!!
Anyhow, ours was a relationship, not unlike many new ones nowadays..... we went on our first date, and he came over and never left. He moved into my apartment with me, and then in March, we decided to look for a new place to live. Our apartment, 2 levels, 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths and almost 1000 sq ft (large by apt. standards) had been full BEFORE he moved in, and we needed more space. Back in April we moved into our current digs - a brand new, stacked townhouse style condo.
I also recently quit my job as an Event Planner for a hotel, as I could not stand the management. I am currently just working somewhere to pay the bills.... while I search for what will truly make me happy. Which brings me to the point of this blog: My weight loss!!!
Back when I was 23, I somehow gained a lot of weight 30 - 40 lbs to be exact. For someone who is 5'1", and always stood at 103 lbs... this is a lot!!! And it wasn't like I had started noticing my clothes fitting tighter or anything of that nature. I just one day couldn't fit into my pants. I was devastated. I had recently gone thru a very bad breakup of a 6 year relationship that was the most life changing for me, as well, had started an office job, as oppossed to the restaurant job I had been working since I was 16, and was no longer running around and on my feet for 8 + hrs. Shortly after, I moved out, and found out that my parents were separating. So apparently, I sought solace in food, and the lack of exercising changed me body composition.
But I resolve to change this and get back to the slim, active person I used to be!! And I have a goal set: Cory and I will be taking our first International Vacation together in March - his friends are getting married in Mexico, and he is in the bridal party, so we have GOT to look good. (Side Note: Since the relationship, Cory has also gained a lot of weight, somehow this must have been my fault!!)
So I will use this as a forum to log my food as well as my exercise, and probably a little bit of everything in between.
Join me in my quest to lose the weight.
